Sword With Sauce

Sword With Sauce

HELP!!
My game keeps crashing, with the message "low level fatal error" and "This package may be corrupt"
What do I do?
And before anyone asks, I ALREADY UN-INSTALLED my workshop items

In my case same error was caused by loadouts save files. Deleting them from Documents(or OneDrive\Documents)\DiatomicGames\SwordWithSauce\Loudouts solved the crash problem. And yes, for some reason folder name is "LoUdouts".

One of these common problem solvers may help:

1. Verify the games files - https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
2. Uninstalling the game, then Clear download cache (https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6AD7-820D-8BE5-E51F#:~:text=From%20your%20Steam%20Client%2C%20open,Cache%22%20button%20at%20the%20bottom.) and then re-installing the game
3. Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date.

Hopefully one of these solves the issue.

Download cache cleared ❌ (game was un-installed, cleared, then re-installed and crashed)
Verified files ❌ (all 23 files verified, still crashed)
Graphics card drivers... I'll go try messing this this, then.
Although I'm not sure how this would help, as it says the game's 'package' may be corrupt.
Update:
Checked my drivers, it says they're all up to date. Not sure what's causing the crash, might be my PC or something.

how long did you have to tinker with the game files to figure this out...

They are just binary files with no extension, but names are the same as in game, one file per loadout. Most likely it's only one or two of them causing problem, rest should be fine.

well i have put them in a different folder
they're all labelled "Loadout1" so i'll try re-naming them since the game doesn't let you name 2 loadouts the same thing
Verifying the game file worked for me! So glad this game is back in development, I fell in love with it when I saw jacksepecteye play it back when I was in high school. SO EXCITED!
