Hello explorers of Gemea!

"Fair Weather" is a large care and support update aimed at allowing more people to enjoy the game.
Many improvements and system based features have been added, and every nook and cranny has been optimised to make the game run great on lower spec machines, but also truly shine for those with great systems!

At the same time, we've polished a lot of things where we could improve the look and feel of the game without sacrificing performance.

• NEW: Added official OpenGL support for those suffering from DirectX issues! A lot of people have eagerly been awaiting this, we're happy to say it's finally here!
  
• NEW: brand new occlusion system. This gives a large performance improvement for machines that struggle to draw high amounts of geometry.
  
• NEW: ambient occlusion system. Faster and smoother, the new system looks great at a fraction of the cost.
  
• NEW: new radiosity system. Our realtime radiosity is the cornerstone of our lighting technology. This new version is a lot faster and more directly supported on a larger range of hardware.
  
  
• IMPROVEMENT: optimised LOD and mesh management system.
  
• IMPROVEMENT: faster, prettier shaders.
  
• IMPROVEMENT: optimised general CPU and GPU usage
  
• IMPROVEMENT: reduced issues due to world streaming. Less performance hiccups/hitching when running around the world.
  
• IMPROVEMENT: streaming + loading optimisations. You can now get into the game world very rapidly!

There is a tradition in Gemea that whenever a embarking upon a long journey, the traveler would fashion two knots out of vine; one they would fasten to their home, and the other they would keep with them as they explore the world.
These Travelers Knots are said to connect two places togethor so that you are never far from home...


TRAVELERS KNOT - fast travel
The Travelers Knot allows you to instantly return to any owned farmstead, but consumes the item in the process.
After you've built your first farm, the Travelers Knot recipe will become available; simply make a Travelers Knot, and use it as a tool.
You'll be presented with a choice of which farm you wish to travel to.

It's said that ghosts and ghouls from all over Gemea party for eternity on the other side of the night.
Every Fall, the town of Bobbintoff hosts a Halloween festival to honour this folklore, but maybe there's more to it than just a tale?

We now officially support Russian, Japanese, and Korean.

As you journey to restore peace to Gemea, a new creature has appeared.

This creature was last seen so long ago that is now believed to be a myth.  A creature that only exists in stories.

The people say it's a good omen - they are said to only appear in lands where wise and benevolent people reside in peace...

This, however, is not the only creature spotted in Gemea. Kari and Tack are rushing around the island trying to collect as much information as possible about the new fox species that have been spotted!

• Fix: resolved missing language data issue for new Russian, Japanese or Korean region players. These languages are in the works but aren't yet included. Stay tuned!
  
• Fix: fixed missing mouse input in farm edit mode.
  
• Fix: added a small graphical fix to the gamma code. This was showing bad values in low light conditions for a small number of graphics cards.
  
• Fix: fixed cat interaction issue (When they were still visible, but its appearance condition meant it wanted to hide, it wasn't able to be collected. You can now collect them whenever they're visible)
  
• Fix: fix biome happiness counts for trees and cats -- these numbers were wrong, so it looked like some trees/cats were missing for some people when in fact they had them!

We are happy to announce that Yonder took out the Grand Prix award at Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC Fest) over the weekend.

We had a wonderful time in Busan and enjoyed every moment of BIC Fest, so it was a suprise (to say the least) and an honour to walk away with the top award at the festival.
