Movement, especially jumping, suffers from many issues when running the game at too high of a framerate (eg. 120). These problems include frequent dropped inputs, stiff movement and getting partially stuck in the floor on some thin platforms.
I learned that turning v-sync on and limiting the framerate to 60 through a program like Special K fixes the problems with the controls.
