Is the game engine tied to the framerate?
Because when I use vsync and go to my monitor's refresh rate (144) I start to have glitches with jumping and other little bugs only when i go above 60fps

Ditto. A fair amount of the time jump just doesn't work. The game definitely gets the jump input, the character makes the jump grunt noise, a cloud of smoke pops up at their feet, but they don't actually jump.

Disabling v-sync fixes the issue but does make look a lot less smooth.

Thank you for this. I have a 144hz monitor and was confused by the lack of "the character won't jump" posts. Turning off Vsync fixes it for me as well.

That is the problem with the game. The game will not work with vsync and feels awful at 60fps. The developer needs to change his fixed framerate code and instead use time in his equations. It is a shame because the game seems lovely.

I offered to help and I still will if he wants. I can consult him on this large change to his code base by email.

Bump. Six years later seems this will never be resolved, but the game is pretty unplayable like it is now with vsync broken and tinkering with NVIDIA Control Panel doesn't help
