Why do people inflate the technological level of Nazi Germany? Their tanks, planes and infantry were not some marvel.
Honestly, this needs to stop, it's the worst misconception that continues the whole legacy of Nazi Germany as a 'superior' nation against barbarians almost.

Well, i m not german, but it is and it was a "superior nation" i term of technology, arts, sports...

And they did have a lot of advance tech for the time, they even invented the night vision for exemple. Another one would be the "paperclip operation".

Maybe "superior" is not the appropriate term but they sure had some good stuff to make war!

No, they only create jet airplane, nightvision, teleguided bomb, SAM and portable AA rocket.... so yes they have an better level on technical leve.
After that, they cannot put all of that on production. Most of these technologie would be produce in 1946 if the war doesnt stop before ( Aleluya ).

Ps: i only love history.

You're describing where they focused industry and research, people, and totally overlooking the many innovations of rival nations (i.e. Colossus computer which is very important to not discount as we're in the Information Age).

I blame the History Channel .. In fact modern series on the War in general. They are 'Popcorn History' ,entertainment rather than good history, because good history is dry and a little boring.. :)

Well from documetaries and etc i heart
Germans
-have superior infantry weapons
-but alies have standart semi automatic rifles whitch give them normaly more firepower
-have more modern heavier tanks
-but were unrealiable and expensive
-have inferior planes
-but have some wery good prototipes
-were les mobile than other nations they still use horse even toward end of war

Of corse in game you must think about game balance and personaly i think game potrating history prety well.
radio
planes
aircraft carriers
battleships
nuclear weapon
landing equipment
strategic bombers
rifles
code breaking equipment
artillery
engineer eqiupments like bridges
in those spheres allies where advanced :P

T-34 tanks had no tech advantage, since 46.000 of those tanks were lost in ww2. There had been alot of them, that was the 'advantage'. Soviets had the manpower, so the relied on mass produced death traps and used them as cheap one-way vehicles (another aspect of their human-wave doctrine). Rest is war propaganda.

Germans invented Synthetic rubber and built up production lines exclusivly for the war. Otherwise they would have run out of tires in 1940. They also developed and produced Prontosil (a Sulfonamide drug) and had the first mass produced antibiotic ready to use.

The first man-made object to cross the boundary of space (100 km above the sea level) was a German V2 missile on October 3, 1942. Thats quite a milestone.

T34 had a much smarter and efficient design than the early german tanks.

The fact that early panzers lacked sloped armor was just idiotic engineering. Even the Americans figured it out for the sherman.

In 1941 and 1942 the T-34 was a better tank than anything the Germans had in production; except for the limited numbers of Tiger 1 and Panzer IV Ausf. F2. It had its flaws to be sure, but like all things in WW II it depends on when, where, and how it is used.
