Well, if a totem is nearby, it'll light up.

Besides that, the cube in the center also slightly points towards nearby totems most of the time, there's a tiny chance it points to something more sinister

I would love to see the cube be more functional. It moves a little more up, down, left or right to indicate forward, behind, left or right. It would be nice if it glowed a bit after moving in the right direction of a totem for a while. This would be a good indicator to do a scan and reveal the location of the totem. I think it's a bit too hard to find them especially since you have to find 9. Or, maybe it starts to glow only when the Wendigo has been tracking you for a period of time.
