How do you "people" enjoy areas like Lost Izalith?
Please enlighten me.

I enjoy the lore and the atmosphere. I enjoy the architecture.

I enjoy the importance of the location for a couple NPC questlines.

Well, Izalit could possibly be a respite, since the other locations are more difficult. Overall the location is definitely crap. Although it’s cool to invade there, it’s a pity that those whom I’m invading don’t think so
I like the structures, but everything else makes me want to commit tax fraud.

Everyone knows Lost Izalith's flaws. It's old news, and I'm long since over them.

I find Lost Izalith to be relaxing. It's simple, easy, and ignoring the bad enemy placement the actual area is nice to look at. An ancient civilisation drowning (in lava) in the remnants of their own failure. All of it as a result of the Witch of Izalith having ambition beyond her means.

I like what Lost Izalith represents, and at this point the total mess that the area is with enemies etc. just makes it all the more clear that Izalith has become a decrepit ruin, with almost nothing left of its former greatness.

It's fun to invade there

I don't. It's too big, it's too hot and it has the worst boss in the game.

Speed run it. It's not unpleasant or painful, like you are implying. It's just a quick boss gauntlet. Kill some bosses and then go to the next lord.

I welcome it, actually, because by that point, the game is getting too long and progression stops, and ending the game quickly is the best move. Other Dark Souls games are too long, and I get bored and never finish them.

I'd actually say that the DLC is the weakest part of this game. It's a lot of pointless forest and dungeon, when you are probably end-game worthy already. Feels like padding, and so I just run through as much as I can get away with. The boss fights are good, but everything in between is padding.

lost izalith had fantastic atmosphere, it just also had unfortunate enemy placement (read: sparse and bad).

you ever look up at any point while you're down there and it gives you a sense of scale and it's just really otherworldly. not 'you're in hell' otherworldly, more like 'you're on a lava planet' otherworldly.

were there other enemies than the small army of statue demons i think people would have liked it more.

It's definitely missing variety, tired of looking at stones and half t-rex's stomping around

I don't enjoy it in particular but I don't curse it like I curse the Tomb of Giants or the Archive. Its a relative good location to walk around in and it don't take too much effort to plow through it if you die and need to go somewhere.
