Never. It’s the one game FromSoftware would never port. Reasoning: it was the first souls game ever and it was released only on PlayStation. FromSoftware is very serious on that.

I don't think Fromsoftware cares, it's Sony who decides that stuff.

I personally think there is a good chance for Demon Souls in Steam eventually but not for countries without PSN lol.
Only reason DES and Bloodborne not on PC and Xbox is because of Sony.

Everyone knows they would sell well especially Bloodborne.

But some ppl buy consoles for their exlusives too.

Also if you still have your PS3 Demon souls copy GOOD news.
(or you can get the game files from"somewhere").....

RPCS3 it is a PC emulator for PS3 games.

With strong PC you can even do 4k 60fps with your Demon souls game.

(emulation is more resource intensive)even an okay PC can likey do 1080p 60fps.(like my GTX 1660).

OG PS3 could not even maintain 30fps on 720p.

+DES is a popular emulated game so it has many mods on mods nexus too.

That said it takes some time to set it up there are youtube videos about it.

Also shader caching will take lot of time so perfomance will get better after a few session.
+first launch will take a lot of time.

The very early starting area in 1-1 is actually very resource intesive due to many Dreglings and fire particles. So good for bechmarks.

Few videos about Demon souls on PC.

For low end PCs.

Shadps4 is booting into Bloodborne menu, still going to be years before it's perfectly playable at good performance.

Mate... if you own Demon's Souls on PS3, play it.

The remake is nice, but it made a lot of atmospheric changes, dialogue was revoiced and the OST was completely re-composed.

You should definitely play the original first.

Hey if it came to PC people could potentially mod back in all the stuff they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
You can download the PS3 Demon souls files and use it with emulator.

And with an okay PC you can do 1080p 60fps once shaders are compiled.

Even low end PC can do the default 720p 30fps.

With strong one you can do 4k60fps.

(you can make it 120fps but that will have many issues).

I wonder if Bloodborne gets remade or eventually will be emulated on PC first.

Eventually power PC users will have their games one way or the other.

Which makes things even worse, since it's up to Sony to decide... and given what they did to original Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, which are in the same IP situation, i would say DeS Remake is the last thing you should put your bets on

I don't like the art direction changes in the remake. I would much rather we get a proper PS3 Demon's souls PC port, but for the time being I'm just gonna play it on emulator.

Did somebody already say "Never"???

While I agree and i also think it was a waste of human work and resources them redoing the soundtrack, gameplay and controls will always go first and the QoL changes, better controls, graphics and performance, better UI, easier to get into the game and just play u dont have to rip your hairs out trying config the emulator (and while i dont think rpcs3 is hard to config its still too unstable and crashes a lot) id rather play the remake its the soulless experience but more refined and digestible plus we can wait for mods like replace the current soundtrack for the original, remove all those bs world tendency crap and turn off the stupid glow effect in soul form that keeps ruining my fashion
