if you know how to get the sunlight blade i recomend u to make a dex faith build just to give a use to those points u invest in faith, winged spear is a very solid option and u can get it so fast in the graveyard of firelink shrine, you can use also the normal hallberd is too op with sunlight blade and if u want a spear for catacombs the silver knight is so good, is not infusible but makes holy damage so skeletons wont raise no more.
There is no dark damage or defence in DS1.
So dark spells deal mix of magic and physical damage.
(blackflame is likely fire+physical).
But you have only 13 int so those spells are out of questions unless your seriously lvl up int.
You have decent Dex and faith already.
So like above I recommend to get sunlight blade or darkmoon weapon buffs both need 30 faith to use and are mutually exlusive with each other.
(you can get both in NG+).
In Dark souls 1 weapon buffs give a flat+dmg based on magic/talisman adjustment regardless of the weapon's damage.
(In Dark souls 2 weapon buff dmg scales with weapons base damage).
So faster(usually dex)weapons proc more hits therefore dmg from buffs in DS1.
Many dex weapons can also cause bleed status.
For the catacombs PVE section you can use a few unique weapons which have divine built into them.
Or Grab a blunt/strike dmg weapon and make it divine.
(skeletons are weak to blunt dmg).
Divine deals extra % dmg to most enemies in the catacombs,tomb of Giant and prevents small Skeletons from being ressurected by their necromancers.
(there are 6 necros none of them respawn once killed).
1 lord boss fight also has 4 small skeletons as adds.
Sp perma killing them can make fight easier.
