It's been a hot minute but I remember gaining stuff to buy the character cards by just playing the game mode and winning. It's been a bit since I've played Danganronpa V3 though, I might be wrong. I had the most fun by focusing more on playing characters I like and seeing their wholesome interactions instead of treating it like an RPG board game. There won't be any overwhelming lore drops but this game mode is for you if you want to see the characters living a normal and happy teenage life.

I personally liked Maki's interactions the most. Korekiyo was the only character that really had disturbing interactions. Nagito was surprisingly chill kind of like how he was in the beginning of Danganronpa 2 and Kokichi is just a little goober who is surprisingly respectful towards some of the other students like Chihiro.
