I have the exact same problem, I have no idea how to fix it for now at least, I'm thinking of trying to get my friend to watch me play through Steam, hopefully that will work.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION, its hard to explain via text, but open your COMPUTERS Sound Setting , go into MORE SOUND SETTINGS.

This will open up the (Sound) Where it shows all the audio devides/microphones. Typical white/grey tiny output window.

Right click PROPERTIES on the Sound the device is coming out of. Then go ADVANCED. And Uncheck the "Enable Audio Enhancements"

THIS WILL CRASH YOUR GAME. But when you open it back up, your friend on discord will be able to hear the characters speaking and BGM and Everything.
