Not able to refill pistol

It says that "just use your thumb on the disc" I press the vive disc, but it does not seem to work, Is there any other disc? No one had the same problem? Regards!

Refilling pistol on Index

Somebody tell me how to do it, please? I've literally tried everything (besides the only working thing I guess) without luck.. Been on the part of getting the Pistol for way too long and I'd genuinely love to finish this game.

Is this game so short or is this a bug or maybe a hardcore feature? (SPOILER)

So after killing the quasimodo midget with a dagger the game went back to the flat you start in and the only thing I could do is start a new game. I played for only 48 minutes so I believe it is a bug or maybe by killing him I lost the game and need to start over?...
