and yet i have a save file that has both me and my friend in it.

So you created a custom companion for your friend? There isn't and never has been a co op mod.

The Internet didn't just scrub the existence of the mod away, you'd be able to find acknowledgement of its existence online, which you can't.

You're either misremembering or your friend created a custom companion in your game. Maybe your friend was watching you play through remote connection and you let them dictate the actions of their character.

Don't know what else to tell you, except that there isn't some internet wide conspiracy to scrub away the mod and any reference to it's existence

so what i have is two people myself included who remember playing the game together..one of us has a save. the other does. two main characters are on that save. and we fully remember playing it together..while so far two people are saying that's impossible...

Are you sure it wasn’t Divinity: Original Sin II? That has multiplayer and also starts with a shipwreck, and came out around the same time.

divnity original sin 2 is another one i play..but it doesnt have hairy haflings.....so im pretty sure it was this one.

Maybe you did Steam’s shared play (can’t think of the name off the top of my head) with turn-based mode?

both of our characters after we made them woke up in the same bed on the ship before we crashed i remember because i found it entertaining and remember saying "it clearly wasnt made with this in mind" so it was a mod.

Ahhh. Huh. Well, that probably broke a lot of things, yeah, lol. Maybe it was never finished/released on a mods site? Did you maybe find it on a forum somewhere?

ive never done drugs.....if i remember were i found the mod i wouldn't be asking. if you want i can re-download the game long enough to take screen shots of my save file. and the empty save files for my friend with just as much hours as me.

but for now i have cancelled the re-download and removed it..since clearly despite me having evidence that says otherwise im apparently on drugs. nice community.

Yeahhh. The Steam forums for any given game aren't really much of a community, despite what the tab says, unfortunately. You can usually get some advice but it feels like most threads eventually turn into strangers insulting each other. Maybe someone on Obsidian's Discord might have heard of it? Best of luck if you ever do come back to it.
