Is M.A.C.E. Worth Buying?
Right now I have M.A.C.E. in my Wish List, because:

1. It's a Vertical SHMUP (Shoot 'em up).
2. The artwork is colorful, nicely done, and uplifting.
3. The designs of the ships, enemies, projectiles, etc....are well drawn.
4. It's Co-Op
5. Full Controller Support
6. Lots of upgrading & other interactive features.
7. IT'S NOT A BULLET HELL!!!!!

What's keeping me from buying it (yeah, I know it's only $5 bucks) is:
1. Several posts in discussion go unanswered. (appears Dev is non-responsive)
2. Types of negative reviews.
3. No 'news' indicating Dev listened to players and made bug fixes and/or updates.
4. No Online Co-Op
5. Disappointed that members of the Amiga community would not be more proactive in making the game more desireable, and forthcoming with updates and interacting with their players.
6. According to a reviewer, the game is very short, and another states that the weapons are taken away too quickly.

So what's the point of this post? Well, I'm a big believer in speaking up when I see something that has the potential to be very popular & extremely fun, (and deserves to be), yet nothing is being done to turn all of the hard work, time, $$ and creativity into a great success. So I'm hoping that the Devs will read this, and read what I'm sure MANY others have thought to themselves, but just didn't verbalize it.

Don't drop the ball now, devs.....most of the hard work is done. All it needs is some tweaking, and you could have a hit on your hands! I'd like to see you read through all of the reviews again, improve the positive ones, and fix the negative ones, because my main goal is that myself and others would LOVE to add this game to our library, and get our friends to join in the fun.

With utmost sincerity & hope,
Boofette.

I would say yes if you know what you are getting. It's a retro-euro shoot them up with mouse/keyboard/gamepad control and nice graphics but few variety. As for multiplayer, it has local multiplayer (2 players at the same time).
For me, it's a little "yes", but a yes nonetheless. It's nice looking and does the job, but without anything revolutionary nor enthusiasming.
