I love the look and the gameplay and would love to buy it. Anyone know if this game is still alive or not? I dont want to spend money on Abandonware.

Will you be able to pause the game to issue commands in single-player? This issue is always a bit of a litmus test for me. Curious if others feel similarly.

Sure seems that way. I gave a positive review on Steam when I first got it because the dev team were very responsive to my issues. They said they were working on porting to a new version of Unity for stability but it seems like the game has been dropped entirely. Does anyone have any news?...

So what is next on the drawing board for this game?

Just bought MERC, excited to check it out, but the game won't launch. Steam freezes up and I get a prompt that the bootstrap client is not responding. Doesn't affect any other games in my library, already tried un/re-installing MERC with no success. Best I can tell my PC exceeds the minimum game requirements. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?...
