The next New Player Challenge is on Sunday, September 8. Desselie is back hosting 2 more of these, rounding up to a total monthly streak of 40 NPC tournaments.

If you are new to the game, this tournament is a great way to dip your toes into playing competitively.

It is only open to players with less than 200 hours in game.
And the winner gets a DLC skin of their choice.

The second event we are sponsoring with $1000 this year is the community organized MACH 1 invitational! 24 of the greatest players, past and present, will battle it out on September 7 in a fully streamed event with interviews, antics, onions and merchandise.

The second qualifier last month resulted in a very special addition to the deck of player cards you'll be able to get: Two red Nitros won the top positions and are joining in with a set of connecting cards!

The community is pulling out all stops for this one, creating a variety of things including t-shirts, posters and the player trading cards - all of it available through https://store.hyhy.gg
(the store will close 3 days after the tournament and all orders are then produced and shipped)

Half of the profits will go to the tournament prize pool, the other half to the artist that designed the item.

The trading card booster packs in particular will feature everyone on the packaging who also directly contributed over $5 to the prize pool[matcherino.com].


Okay, we may have said the second qualifier last month was the last chance to enter. But nothing in life is absolute! One of the invited players had to drop out - and to replace them, there will be a bonus qualifier on August 31. Last last chance? Probably! (edit: the event got delayed a week due to steam matchmaking servers being down on August 24)

The respective player card will be replaced as well!
