Deeponia, where and what is it?

i won the deep sea race and got a core claim on deeponia, but what is it and where is it? some knows?

edit: ok its an underwater base and china took it, it wasnt in the province list before.
dont know how to take it first.

its in the ocean west of south america, but it wasnt in the list before china took it.
maybe you see it and can settle first.

An event happened giving the province to Canada, the second placed. Its strange. Maybe its a random event then?

its an deep see exploration event and the first 3 places get a core claim on deeponia.
yeah dont know who gets it, i was first and china got it.

Exactly. I was first and Canada second in mine. Maybe its a random event between the 3. Before the event saying Canada got it, the province was not there. BTW its in the same place as yours, so no random location.

There are some locations, this event happens more then once.

Normally the first of the financing should get a core, set the new provinces culture and get the province. The 2nd gets only a core on it, nothing else.

I just had the same thing happen to me! I also was first and the US second, but at first nothing happened then some point the event log popped up that the US got it -.- i also didnt seem to get any of the other benefits for this one. seems to me its a flawed project

Well the same happened to me too, so this has to be a bug then. I was first in the race by a wide margin. Then for a few weeks nothing happened followed by a message saying that the USA was awarded the colony. Very frustrating!
