Hot take: playing with vanilla (default) bots is easier than with actual players

If "easier" here means that you won't get killed by your own teammates, then yes, as bot's default friendlyfire is off. But if it's about how fast they will respond to a survivor pounced by SI & rescue from SI, they're the worst. I forget how many times I had to restart the map just because the vanilla bots enjoyed watching me hanging with smoker tongue on my neck & doing jogging together with a jockey when he's riding me :steamfacepalm: , while with players, as long as you don't meet troll players, at least they can save you much faster than bots can do.

Without AI mods they are dumb as a rock. But you can still have some plays around that so yea they are better than your average player

During sales, you're damn right. I'll gladly take 3 bots that actually stick together and shoot the infected over 3 statues that just stand there and let the commons maul them to death.

Sometimes bots stand still and dont help but likelyhood of that is common

If you know how to lead the bots, it's better than with players.

Recently, a player teammate failed to cr0wn the bride witch, got killed. Then, the witch attacked me without provocation while two bots and I were like a 100 feet away (32 meters) from her. I couldn't run away from her due to the resulting horde slowing me down upon startling the witch and got killed, eventually triggering a map restart.
