Yeah I recently bought the game, (having been wanting to play ever since it released but I used to play games on console and only switched to pc after the Steam Deck) the game is or was fun, but the constant difficulty increase and certain players attitude, and the fun that the game provided is fading

The game keeps switching up difficulty and it's annoying, I want to play on normal because spongy enemies are in no way fun, but the game keeps switching to higher difficulties on it's on

Spongy enemies, and spawning hundreds of them while also spawning 3 to 4 even more damage sponge tanks is ridiculous and ABSOLUTELY NOT fun

Also, you get some cool players, but I don't know if it's the common on weekends or something but only today and I've had mostly scum players, the kind to rush straight from safe house to safe house and use ALL med kits, or the ones that keeps killing team mates then leave, the ones that don't even try to revive downed players, or the ones that down players for their kits

The game is cool, specially since it's an fps and I always thought it was a third person reason why I never rushed to buy, but in the last two days I want to play it but it seems it's annoying me more than being fun to play....Enemies suddenly becoming spongy as hell being the worse annoyance

Difficulty can be locked in when you search for lobbies, if you quick join then you're going into a random lobby with whatever difficulty they have. You can also control the difficulty and map by hosting your own lobby. The rest is skill issues, even with the trolls. If you're too afraid to kick people (yes many are actually too scared to ever call up a vote for some reason) then you get the lobby you deserve. It's not speed-running if you're consistently 1-2 minutes behind everyone else. You're just slow and don't know the pace of the game yet, it will come to you. Or it won't. You bought the game at the same time it's actively dying from neglect by the devs.

I haven't joined anyone's lobby yet, after completing a chapter it WILL increase the difficulty to advanced and so on every time, and I already have people mentioning that my game must be bugged because the amount of bs is in no way normal difficulty....Like having a tank out of nowhere knock people out and before they get up they get lassoed by the long thong bastards, or having tanks one shot one by one in the team, and all that while being swarmed by zombies nonstop. People even said it felt like actual players on a PvP match instead of story mode. It wasn't like that when I finished the story the first few times, now a lot of people can't stand the bs and leave. I have only installed customization mods like different guns and characters, and Left4bot2
to improve ai teammates, but I'm wondering if it messed the enemies as well because they are WAAAAAAY too coordinated in their attacks, it's ridiculous

Anyway, "skill issue"? You seem to have some "skill issue" yourself in talking to people, your high and mighty tone talking to someone you don't even know is annoying to say the least, makes you sound like a jerk

Oh no. No no no no no. The last person who sassed a vampire got one hell of an unholy curse brought down on their heads. You like the sound of long, moldering fingernails scritch-scratching at your window at 3 am? How about a voice whispering to you in the dark "let me in.. *Scritch-scratch+ let me in..." exactly like that scene from 'Salems Lot. You just made the biggest supernatural mistake of your life, mortal. I am now able to send curses across the world. No one is safe. For proof, I cursed this game almost exactly one year ago. now look at the sorry state of it. I also cursed a classmate who caught COVID like a week ago. Who catches COVID in 2024? Let all of that sink in (pun intended).
