RAGE 2
Locked to 60fps?
There's options in the menu for 120fps but no matter what i select the game only runs at 60? I have a 4080S i should easily be able to run this game at 4k 120fps. Even if i select a lower resolution it wont go above 60. Vsync is off of course. Any ideas? Is it because the game is "woke"? XD

I think maybe you can change it under Advanced Video Settings:

Resolution Scale: Off (or anything else if you wanna change options manually below)
Minimum Resolution Scale: 60% or something by default which is bad (set it to 100%)
Automatic Resolution Scale Target FPS: 60 is by default which limits your game to 60 (change it higher)

Myself Playing with Resolution Scale: Off
so 2 options below don't have their effect
Nvidia 4080S correct?

Did Septimus Prime's suggestion work?

Nope. Nothing I've tried works. My drivers are up to date, everything in windows is set up correctly or I'd be having this issue on more games.
There just seems to be a hard lock to 60 for some reason, despite the options in the games menus allowing you to set your frame rate to whatever you want. They obviously don't work lol.

Well u can try to set it with ur Nvidia Control Panel. Ur GPU is newer then mine so its pathway might be different. On mine its location is "3d Settings", "Manage 3D settings", "Program Settings". Under this tab u should see a drop bar and a number above it"select a program to customize". Find Rage 2 and use the 2nd drop bar as well as the 3rd list of settings to set it to what u want. On mine there is a Max Frame rate setting which when selected has an additional FPS setting listed with it.

Like I said ur control panel might be setup a little different or look/listed different. If this still doesn't work then ♥♥♥♥ idk. There must be something preventing the game from going over 60 fps for whatever reason. Likely technical & I would not try to force it thru a 3rd party software or some other peripheral program. Those tend to be bad for ur computers hardware for a variety of reasons.
