How to Deep Scan
I need to scan 3 times but I can only find one crystal and I can't rescan? Am I missing something?

There's a separate crystal for each scan, generally not near each other. Once you've got one hooked up, your HUD finder won't detect it anymore so it's easier to find the remaining ones. If it says "No Signal" you're simply really, really far away from any remaining crystals, just wander around until you pick up the next one's signal. The crystals also have distinct names on the HUD finder (Alpha, Bravo, etc.) so you can at least be sure you know which you're closest to and when it jumps to something else.

Check the resonance scanner on the top left of your hud.

If it doesn't pick up anything, start wandering, it will get something eventually.
It's like using a metal detector in a way.

One thing to note is the shape next to the meter, triangle means the location of the crystal is either located higher or lower than your current position. Diamond shape means you are on level.

Mute the ingame music and listen for a crystalline humming sound when you're very close. IT should be right under your feet then
