War on the Sea - Coming Soon
A blend of “Great Naval Battles” and “Task Force 1942″ combined with our previous games Cold Waters and Atlantic Fleet.

War on the Sea puts you in command of task forces, convoys and submarines as well as tactical use of aircraft to secure the South Pacific during World War II. Heavily inspired by the classic computer games "Great Naval Battles" and "Task Force 1942", War on the Sea is coming soon to PC and Mac.

Awesome! Will sea operations affect land operations like in Cold Waters? Can land be lost or gained?

Absolutely. Getting supplies to various islands, area control and securing bases/airfields is central to winning a campaign.

So this isn't going to be like "The Final Countdown" where we go into a time portal in our LA class boat and blow the crap out of the Japanese before Pearl Harbour?

Looks good! ETA? Around how much will it cost?

Will both sides be playable?

Interaction w/ army, marines (for US), and air force? Early access?

Similar to Cold Waters in the level of detail of submarine control. No separate ballast/planes controls, they are both automatically integrated into depth changes.

TDC is similar with automatic target solution calculations. You control the number and width of spread fired. Manual targeting is also possible, but it is simplified to a desired intercept point at bearing and range.

ETA is when we are happy with it and cost has yet to be determined.
Apologies for the vague responses, but we'll announce these details when they are more concrete.

Yes.
Allied Forces and Imperial Japan are playable.

Indirectly, as your mission success or failure will impact availability of troops/supplies on various islands. Sort of like the ground war aspect of the Cold Waters campaign.
