Rock Band Microphone Issue
I've got an issue with Barbershop Quartet Pole Position. The Rock Band Mic is fine, the title was mainly to try and be less spoilery.

I have two audio devices that are on the same driver, and if they are both enabled then that whole minigame hangs on the initial screen. I can still press escape and quit to txt overworld, but that screen is entirely unresponsive.

If I disable one of those two audio devices, then it works as intended. I checked with the Rock Band Microphone to make sure, and it's all fine.

I'm assuming it has something to do with conflicting names, since that menu uses the driver name, and they both have the same driver name (ASIOVADPRO Driver). Enabling each of them separately works fine, but they both show up with the same name.

In the DxDiag they're "Mix 01 (ASIOVADPRO Driver)" and "Mix 02 (ASIOVADPRO Driver)".

Just had this exact same issue and can confirm that this workaround fixed it (I have no idea how you stumbled across that fix, but thank you!!) but having to disable most of the inputs on my soundcard to keep playing definitely isn't a satisfactory solution

Thanks so much for the bug report, that's really useful!

My original thought was to try the Rock Band Mic, and when it appeared I thought I might as well try to disable everything so it was the only thing there.
I figured out that it was to do with the duplicates since I noticed only one entry on the list for those devices, but saw two in windows.

Glad I helped at least one person, and nice to see that it's been noted! :D

I'm having issues with my microphone as well, although I'm not sure I understand exactly what the fix is...just disable all but one of my recording devices in the Sound menu? (I'm using windows 7) I appreciate any clarification. :)

Edit: Okay I just disabled all but one device under both the "Playback" and "Recording" tabs of the Windows 7 Sound menu and it worked! Thanks so much for the fix

You only need to disable things in Recording, you shouldn't need to touch Playback.

Glad you got it sorted!

Jim's put a fix in the v1.2 patch for the mic setup screen becoming unresponsive. I doubt it'll improve Unity's mic support, but it should at least auto remove mics that aren't supplying audio.

Fantastic, I just tested it out and everything works perfectly now. Both devices show up too!

Thanks!
