Dying Light 2 is an exceptional post-apocalyptic open world parkour simulator at its core.

For the most part, it improves on what made Dying Light 1 an exceptional game; freedom of exploration, movement, and combat. If you're buying this game hoping for a good story, you may be better off with the first game.

Dying Light 2's story starts off exceptional and breathtaking, but ends up doubling down on an ending full of clichés and questionably silly writing. Regardless, it is still a fun game to play through, if you're the kind of person who likes to deactivate their brain and live in another world for a while.

Overall, I recommend it particularly for its beautiful world and freedom, but maybe not for fans of the first of the series. 7.5/10

Fun and big

Compared to the first part this game is basically unplayable. Parkour is broken, fighting is just scripted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Optimization of this game is non-existent. Why is everything done worse than in the first part? How could you ruin such a good franchise? You had one job. This is the last time in my life I paid for a prerelease

This is a good game & I enjoyed parts of it.
I don't like multi-player games, for me it ruins the immersion. I don't like time trials either- personal choice, nothing to do with the game (so I simply avoided them) I'm making steady solo progress in the later game collecting gear. The survivor missions are great but hard on your own & very buggy, especially when the mission markers disappear. Marvellous open world though & well balanced, so I'll stick with it :)
