How can they let an update do this to the game...

In 2017 I played this game for almost 10 hours, and everything was ok with any game configuration. Now, in 2024, I go back to playing and discover that I can no longer switch to full screen mode, much less change the game's language. What really irritates me is that in 2017 these problems didn't happen. Searching the forum - here in the game community - it seems that it was some update that caused these two problems in the game.
I wonder how the game developer could let this happen for so long when so many people - consumers - have complained and continue to complain about these problems! Why so much disregard for us? Is it so difficult to at least leave the game as it was??? Why an update that will make the game WORSE?

You can just rollback to the original version in a click.

Before creating this topic, I had already tried to "go back" to the "betatest - betatest" version and also the "fallback - beta branch" version but nothing worked. The game continued with the same deficiencies that did not previously exist.
Is there any other way to go back to versions other than these that can solve these setbacks?
