Microsoft's plan is to keep selling Windows 10. They already released a cut down version, Windows 10S, but for now we're pretty much all forced to keep using Win10 for work for example.
The rest of their revenue will come from subscription based services such as the Office package (Word etc) which has a monthly fee with cloud support and such. Add to that the Microsoft store.
Linux is open source, so people will keep updating it. Won't get old or outdated, just an option for when Win10 becomes too annoying.
Apple's software is too closed & all to be interesting, so I won't bother. Besides, needing an apple machine that can't run much and costs a fortune...no thanks.
Btw, not sure from where this line comes:
Not sure where you have seen that, but yeah, Microsft won't end support for Win10 and if they do, they'll release something new. Unless sombody comes and creates a new, better,. operating system.
Right now would be the best time, with how annoying Win10 has gotten.
Support is just based on the latest feature update released. The latest feature update version is 1703. The notes say:
The lifecycle fact sheet can be seen here[support.microsoft.com]
Maybe they do a new OS and call it something else and not Windows.
They release a new feature update for Win 10 at least once a year. When they release the next one the end of support date will move back to a later year. The OS is still called Win 10 but Microsoft only supports a limited number of feature update versions depending on which version of Win 10 a user is running.
Bottom line: Win 10 support will continue well past October 2025. Some people just do not seem to understand how the Win 10 support life-cycle works and as a result are proving incorrect information and worrying people unnecessarily.

Windows 10 is not going to be a forever OS, some people do say "Windows 10 will be ongoing" and that information is not true
There's a new huge update coming in Autum.

The article you linked only mentions that Win10 won't be supported in old hardware. What, is that your confirmation to Win10 extinction andwhy we should all go to MacOS?
"Windows as a Service" is only runned during Version 1507, 1511 and 1607 and there hasn't been any on Creators Update or later
Don't worry, the UK will disappear in 2020 anyway so you won't be there anyway.
