What does the darkness Event on Gaia do? I tried to research but didn't find any information on it. Is it just a take over from Archos with no effects?

Thought this game was gonna be a quick refund, but despite it being abandoned, It's a really good game. Just seems to be lacking a playerbase, Especially in Australia. I managed to find the ONLY Australian server was a PvE 10x Server hosting by Gaming Alliance, Would be pretty cool to see some other Australians jump into the Server and revitalise this game!...
