The spooky Halloween update is live.

You will find a new Spell Book filled with 6 new spells and 6 new exams!

The main theme music has been replaced by a Halloween themed theme song. If you want to go back to the original music, you can do so in the options screen.

The Halloween book is unlocked once you finish the first tutorial book.

Work on the free Halloween update has begun. A new spell book with 6 spells and 6 exams will be available in October!

The Halloween book will have a low to moderate difficulty, with at least one challenging spell.

Owners of Spell Casting will now find a PDF in their install directory (\SteamApps\common\SpellCastingMEE) from the latest patch which they can print off.

It contains 14 line art pictures for your enjoyment! Or your kid's enjoyment. Or the child inside you! Colouring is fun. Print off as many as you like. Share them around.

Steam implemented a new review system (see: http://store.steampowered.com/news/24155/ ) and the net result is that all of the positive reviews are now hidden because they came from either Itchio purchases or from the groupee's bundle and those reviews don't count anymore. Only reviews from people who purchased directly on Steam count now.

So, if you purchased Spell Casting directly from Steam, please leave a review. It would mean a lot to me.

Thanks to you wonderful people I was able to hire a voice actor to record the lines of Wizard Purrcival Floof. His tutorial text is voiced and important events like passing or failing an exam now have voice lines.
