Egypt and Antarctica maps would be really fun
Any chance of these ever coming?
Even if it’s not truly representative of a real location, I just want to drive the ATV through dunes and hunt crocs, camels, whatever else along the Nile or hunt polar bears and arctic foxes on the Arctic desert

There are no polar bears in Antarctica, just some birds, penguins, and seals, and given that there is not much in terms of vegetation there wouldn't be any good hunting (besides hunting being illegal in Antarctica).
Do you get off to pedantry?

It’s a video game, I don’t care if hunting is illegal there or that polar bears don’t live there. It doesn’t have to literally be Antarctica, just a similar kind of Arctic region.
Greenland would be perfect for a map of this kind of region, whether it’s actually a real location or a made up place vaguely based on it, considering it does have polar bears as well as reindeer, musk ox, arctic wolves, foxes, hares and whatever else.
You can hunt ducks and other waterfowl in parts of Egypt (mostly in the Fayyum and the Delta), but not much else. Camels are domestic animals, crocodiles are only south of the High Dam at Aswan (i.e., Lake Nasser). There are Nubian ibex in the Sinai, as well as gazelles, but I believe these are protected now.

As for hunting along the Nile, that area is either farmland or dense settlements. At best you might see the occasional jackal or mongoose but not much else. (There are loads of water buffalo, but like the camels, they are domestic.) No one is going to hunt anything there.

So unless you like birds, Egypt would be pretty boring as a hunting location. However, as a fishing location for The Angler, it would be great!

I know hunting games can attract a certain type of player who takes the game extremely seriously as if it was real life but come on, do you not have any imagination at all?

This isn’t real life, it’s a video game. I couldn’t care less about all this boring and meaningless ♥♥♥♥ in a video game, I doubt most other people could either. I just want a fun map, it doesn’t have to be hyper realistic.
Egypt is beautiful and has a lot of animals that would be really cool to see in this game, even if they didn’t make a real location they could take huge inspiration from that. Is the “uh actually no one would do that in real life, uh actually crocodiles are only south” and so on really necessary?
@FeatheryBacon
You really shouldn't post on a public forum if you can't cope with people having a different opinion than you.

You clearly do have an imagination unlike these other two, seeing as you read that as “can’t cope.” That’s an impressive stretch.

Do you think it’s against some kind of rule to respond to something if you don’t agree? Seems like a very restrictive mentality.
This is a forum, the entire purpose of it is to respond to people. Sorry that upsets you so greatly.

So tell me, other than some farmer's camel, what exactly do you expect to hunt in Egypt? I am genuinely curious now.

I'm not actually that interested in hunting camels it's just the first animal that came to mind, besides crocodiles. But I'm sure they would be an interesting animal to have and it could be a good 'base' animal to hunt for the map like whitetail deer on others, or even if it's not one that you hunt it could be part of the map's story or something.

The animals that I actually would want to be able to hunt on an Egypt African desert based/inspired map are things like;
  • Crocodiles (obviously)
  • Hyenas - sound design for these could be especially cool
  • Jackals
  • Leopards/caracals and similar cats
  • Ibex
  • Antelopes/gazelles
  • Ostriches
  • Foxes
  • Hyraxes and similar small mammals
    etc.
Some of these have various different species that could also be on it like the maps that have multiple species of small deer and I'm sure there are a lot of other animals that might not live in Egypt but live in the surrounding areas and could be on a map with these kind of animals without being completely unrealistic/impossible to imagine.
There are also tons of different birds in that region, even if it was only boring ducks or similar birds that you can hunt that's still something.

Is this a good enough answer for you or do we need more niggling or contrived reasons for why a map based on/inspired by Egypt or the Arctic couldn't possibly exist in a fictional video game? It's a random, casual suggestion - it's not that deep.
I think we may get a winter map with polar bears, like the hunter classic, it's based of Alaska which we already have, but I think we will get a total winter map with polar bears, since the classic have polar bears, I don't see no reason why it won't be in this game and I do believe it would make sense to get a africa 2.0, since we got a spot left on the upper area of the map in africa region...but who knows maybe we get somewhere else, no matter what I always love new reserves and interesting species to hunt!
