UI Size / Scaling

Hello,
Before 1.0 there was an option to change UI size by adding
[/script/engine.userinterfacesettings]
ApplicationScale=X
to engine.ini but this file does not exist in 1.0.
It helped my friend to be able to play this game comfortably (he has really bad vision impairment).
Dear Devs is there any option to change it past 1.0?

Please, I have really bad vision as well and I'm having a hard time with reading the text.
I can't find the engine.ini to make these changes as seen in other posts.
I've tried changing resolutions, Windows Scaling and adding the line to other .ini files in the folders, but no luck.
I would really like to enjoy the game and read the information I'm missing out on.

Which values for ApplicationScale did you use? We'd need to test whether certain widgets clip outside the screen before we formally allow it, but it would be useless unless we support the minimum factor required to make it legible for you.

I too would love this option back. Though I went in the opposite direction than the OP, I used ApplicationScale of 0.6 or 0.7.

Hey, that is something that will hopefully return properly in the future. For now, I can't promise and say it's 100% certain it will be back.

I’m hoping it will return soon with the programmers currently working on UI improvements.

Since I couldn't find the engine.ini file I wasn't able to test which size would work. However I wanted to test 1.4 at the very least and work my way to either 1.3 or 1.5
Much appreciated for any consideration!

It was 1.2 or 1.3. Almost no issue. The only thing that did clipped outside the screen was food eaten. Sometimes if you equipped too mamy clothing then icons on the left side couldnt be scrolled but inventories grids worked 100%
