I wanted to enjoy this game. It has some great concepts; but the actual gameplay is quite tedious.

Lara Ravel X Artemy Burakh

One of those games that consumed me. This game is debatably fun, but when you let yourself fall into the world its extremely enjoyable. You are asked to make extremely difficult decisions, and then asked over and over again. Surviving is to grit your teeth and dig your heels in. You must be more stubborn, more determined than this plague. You will fail, you will die, you will let people down, and then you won't. This game is such a work of art, I'm really really looking forward to the release of Pathologic 3 and anything else Icepick Lodge decides to make.

On a more personal note, I played this game in the literal worst period of time in my life. The game is punishing, filled me with anxiety at times, and caused me no small amount of frustration. But it also let me overcome those moments of game play. I was able to feel in control of negative emotions and master them. It provided me with a catharsis that I think no other game could... except maybe Pathologic Classic (which is on my list!). This isn't a game for everybody, but it's a game I think everyone should at least try.
