Are there microtransactions?
As in, are there any at all. I'm not particularly keen on spending almost $10 on a game where you need to pay additional money in order to progress without a lot of headache.

None at the moment.
This version of the game has some easier ways to earn diamonds/coins.
For example, you can earn multiple diamonds if you keep playing "Chef on the go" to level up your Chef Level.
