looking for hints about the scaffold printer (minor spoiler)
Hi everyone, after resorting to cheating on the kelp harvester (for the love of god i still don't get it), i've managed to solve sushi, reactor and the brain interface, all challenging, but still doable.
Now, i'm facing what i guess it's the endboss of the game, the neural lattice printer.
after tweaking motors and ram writer for a bit, i started thinking about the print process, and.... i've absolutely no idea how to print lattice layers, tried to encode stuff on a rom, but then some has to be printed in reverse and my code explodes.

screenshot is just for reference, i'm not looking for a solution, but for some directions. motor X and Y can be managed by a single m6000 but then the right side became crammed with wiring, 2x M4000 give me more planning space. ram writer waits for data to be transmitted, store in ram if it's a package, and send a start/reset signal to what i guess it will be the manager chip. Not sure if it's wise to use the digital expander for the printing outputs, but sounds reasonable with some good encoding.

Phase 2: ???????
Phase 3: Profit

Regret to inform you, it's not the end boss - I'm stuck on the problem after it. One thing that might help, based on your remarks above, is that the data on the Xbus input queues up until you take it, so you don't need to take it all and put it in RAM.

yes, after a couple of tries, i realized the trivial mistake about the non blocking reads. i reached the point where (i guess) i'm only supposed to encode solutions on roms (been able to cram 2 of them). Was working on that, but i moved on, soon or later i'll pick it up again, love this game, and i'm gonna beat it^^
