A problem with the map, crashes the game:
There seems to be a problem with the map, where it goes nuts and crashes the game.
when clicking on the planet to change the viewable rotation, if you go to the north or south pole on the map, it goes nuts and after a couple of seconds crashes the game.

I used to get the same problem but when they updated the game engine optimisation (about a year ago?) the problem went away for me.

As a workaround before it got fixed. I used to make sure I turned the map very slowly. ie hold the mouse down and move the globe slowly. That is the only thing I can suggest.

I stopped rotating the map by hand and just click POIs.
But, yes, it's still broken and it's annoying.

Same bug, I was just starting to get back into the game too.

My game just crashed from this.

yes everytime I try to rotate the map the game crash. And you cannot open a "Bug Report in game as the Category is not selectable" in the Game.
The best thing is - for the moment - open the map but never ever try totate it.

Same for me when trying to rotate map, spinning goes wild fast crazy, then game becomes like "super low frame rate/frame skipping" and finally crash.
But before crash, if I click on any other category e.g. [Your POIs], map noramlizes.
