Long story short.. It's fun for a couple of hours, then it's not! This review might be subject to change in the future but i HIGHLY doubt it. Game has nothing to offer me no more..

Nice management game to try yourself in logistics for a couple of days, although it could be better.

Railway Empire, while focusing on train logistics lacks some tools to make this process more comfortable, thus making gameplay repetitively boring at some point. For example laying parallel tracks at the moment when you build it would be so much better with road templates. Instead game wants you to build first track, then build second and parallel, only then allowing you to use semaphores and even then something can go buggy and force you rebuilt the whole thing from time to time...

And if you disable 'realistic' roads and will allow every train to run through each other - bots will turn into chess grand-master AI and will abuse the system so well, that they gonna win the game before you even start, so good luck!

Disappointing is the main way to describe this game. The track building is clunky, the signals are a bit of a mess, the economics are a bit outlandish. It's a shame really, because the game runs really well and has a really fun cartoonish aesthetic to it, similar to older Risk like games. It has most of the ingredients necessary to be an addictive and relaxing train game, but it lacks fundamentally on the basics of track laying, gameplay, and UI.
