Has anyone completed this game?

I am stuck and cant figure out what is holding up my progression. I can't get the woman washing my jacket to give it to me. I can't find a walkthrough available to give me an idea of what step I am missing to allow me to continue the story! ACK! Any ideas?

You must talk to her, also you need soap.

I gave her the soap and she is washing the jacket. I have a fire going in her home to hang it (I'm guessing). But she won't stop washing the jacket and give it to me. So there is obviously something I must complete before she will stop washing it. I can't figure out what is missing.
