I have an error
I decided to replay the game cuz it's been a long time since I haven't played, the other times it runned perfectly, I installed it and when it "runs" its a black screen with a white line/box on the top left side of the screen for like 2 or 3 seconds and then an error shows up and says: "spec ops the line has stopped working" then there is an other error that says: "result failed" and some error messages/logs in the bottom of the result failed window.

so yeah I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, and it's still the same error's.
Is it because I am on windows 11?

I don't think it's the windows. But it could be possible. I would first try
A) In My Documents - My games - SPOTL ... there is a folder SRGame in which the config for everything is stored - graphics, audio, etc..
Try deleting this folder or moving it to another location (probably better for now) and then restarting the game. Then it should create these files again and cleanly.

I suspect that the problem is with the graphics.

Or B)
Try changing the game to Windows 7 in compatibility mode. The game is not so old now that it would need that. But it could be in relation to A), that Win11 in connection with graphics, or high end cards (possibly changed new hardware/drivers) causes problems here.



Since I have never read about this problem in the last 10 years that I have been playing, I can only speculate.
As a tip against trash/dump data. Every time the game crashes the (with the window error can not find ..... xxx)
\Documents\My Games\SpecOps-TheLine\SRGame\Logs
a dump file is created, which is about 1 -1,5 GB in size. You can delete these files, they only take up space. Here it can easily happen that after many game crashes the folder is 5-15 GB in size.
