How to exit swing?

as Calvin? I am confused from controls already... tried combinations I figure out but I cna nto find how exit the swing even if it stop completely...

I am not using a controller. I am using a keyboard and mouse. I am stuck in the swing and using both feet (Calvin's left and right foot). I am using A & D on the keyboard (A for left and D for right foot) - S for backwards and W for forward to swing. I am swinging but cannot get higher and higher in the swing. No matter what I do, I still cannot get any higher to reach the tree. I have gone past the words in the sky but that is as far as I can go. I have been swinging for 45 minutes and still not making progress. Yes, I am using both feet and yes I have been on swings in the past and know how to swing but can't figure out the exact procedure to swing using the mouse and keyboard.

Just back and forth... hold W, hold S. Rinse and repeat. Nothing else needed.

Vceli medvidek, Thank you! I did what you said: "back and forth. . . hold W, hold S" It took a very long time but it finally worked. Thank you again for your reply and help..

Vceli medvidek, I want to thank you for this. I'd spent an hour and fifteen minutes getting higher and higher until my arm cramped up and I fell back down. I did not realize it was so simple. You have saved my arm. Thank you.
