Bug with Barbaras music box?

I reloaded the save file a couple of times and the character says I should check out the music box but when I click on it i cant make a spin on it? (keyboard and pad tested)

I'm not 100% sure, since it's been a couple of years, since I played through the game, but I think I had to click the music box, hold the button and then move the mouse in circles(spinning) after you received the key/crank. maybe it helps!
