When you say about not being able to assign people to things - can you give an example? Thanks.
Yes that shaking was during the deck gun tutorial IIRC. So that may just be it. Thanks.
After the first sinking in the attack tutorial.. I couldn't assign the captain (or whoever) to the observation post on the deck. Now it must be added I did waste a lot of accelerated time circling around the first ship before I took manual control and sunk it.
But click as I may nothing happened. Exit out re-did the tutorial and could assign him no problem (also this time without all the time wasting).
Now in normal game play I accidentally sent my radio guy away from his post half way receiving a transmission.. I could not assign him back to the post.
Everything stopped. Couldnt tell if the game was paused (it wasn't) or frozen - probably not?
It let me me save and quit.
As for not being able to assign officers, I am yet to see this.
I also had the ridiculous screen shake, that was exciting....yeah, the tutorials are broken.
Just my thought(s).
After the aircraft attack on the UBoat, the tutorial popup tells you to turn on the pump - clicking on the pump switch does nothing, and you cannot clear the tutorial popup (it doesn't say "Click anywhere to close". Because it does not accept any attempt to switch on the pump, the only option is to abandon the tutorial completely. Happens every time I replay it.
Exactly my experience (see previous details from me)
I'd be mad if I had paid full price for such buggy game.
AA just look through "object" periscope.
Tutorial game breaking bugs should be fixed asap.
I submitted this with F11. Hopefully a fix can be made. I'm trying to help iron out theses bugs in the tutorial, so new players have a good intro into the game.
That looks like a misunderstanding of how a tutorial is meant to be played.
A tutorial is a strictly scripted sequence of events designed to teach you a specific mechanic. It’s not intended to be played like you would in a normal game.
I understand the issue here is that people aren’t being told this directly, so they start doing things out of order, which messes up the script. This, in turn, causes an impossible loop where they can’t progress and end up stuck.
If the player follows the instructions exactly as given, when they’re given, they will get through the tutorial 100% of the time.
Meanwhile I am happily playing away, enjoying the realistic sinking, and trying to think of when I last actually saw a bug in the proper part of this game, let alone encountered anything that is allegedly game breaking.
At least some of the players here are submitting F11 bug reports - good for them!
