There is a bug introduced in 2025.1 regarding camera shake in tutorial #4 that will be fixed by the next patch. It wasn't happening each time and somehow went under our radar, sorry about that.

When you say about not being able to assign people to things - can you give an example? Thanks.

Yes that shaking was during the deck gun tutorial IIRC. So that may just be it. Thanks.

After the first sinking in the attack tutorial.. I couldn't assign the captain (or whoever) to the observation post on the deck. Now it must be added I did waste a lot of accelerated time circling around the first ship before I took manual control and sunk it.
But click as I may nothing happened. Exit out re-did the tutorial and could assign him no problem (also this time without all the time wasting).

Now in normal game play I accidentally sent my radio guy away from his post half way receiving a transmission.. I could not assign him back to the post.

I gave up on the game after the tutorial with the AA gun and the order to activate the pumps, while the engineer patched the hull.
Everything stopped. Couldnt tell if the game was paused (it wasn't) or frozen - probably not?

It let me me save and quit.

Tutorial is broken, the game itself is in a decent condition I would say.

As for not being able to assign officers, I am yet to see this.

I have had almost all these problems during the tutorial - approaching the disabled sub, trying to kill the aircraft, my guys kept shooting at the aircraft forever, even using time compression. Eventually the aircraft crashed, I repaired my boat, but now a destroyer is perma-circling my uboat while doing nothing, I can't cancel the alarm, and nothing is changing. I'm supposed to sail a certain distance in the assigned grid square, but this damn destroyer just circles around me doing nothing, my crew is literally dying of heart attacks from stress because the alarm state is permanent, and I can't accelerate time enough to finish the distance in a realistic time frame.

I also had the ridiculous screen shake, that was exciting....yeah, the tutorials are broken.

Perhaps tutorials should just be pulled. Sometimes these types of things cause new players to give up, thinking that the game is like this. It happens in other sims. The game passes up the initial release (demo's, etc.). A new player may have to search for more information (Youtube, etc.) but at least won't think the game itself is bad.
Just my thought(s).

After the aircraft attack on the UBoat, the tutorial popup tells you to turn on the pump - clicking on the pump switch does nothing, and you cannot clear the tutorial popup (it doesn't say "Click anywhere to close". Because it does not accept any attempt to switch on the pump, the only option is to abandon the tutorial completely. Happens every time I replay it.

Exactly my experience (see previous details from me)

Tutorial getting stuck on "press air pump", game getting stuck at some windows (checked headquarters and returned to the dialogue with mission selection man but no menu selection window), ships not sinking, ships/turrets shooting sonar not because they detected me, but because I zoomed into them with camera using map display(when I do yhat it spams sonar/if i don't zoom with my mouse it doesn't do anything), pressing on sunken ships/getting notifications crash game, menus not working when selecting characters... And many more bugs I encounter during 3 days of play... Yup. Game is very buggy. Probably the most buggiest game I had to play.
I'd be mad if I had paid full price for such buggy game.

It happens. You can get it around I think pressing hotkeys for views or maybe activating pump via management window instead of submarine view.
AA just look through "object" periscope.

Tutorial game breaking bugs should be fixed asap.

Yesterday in tutorial #3 all of my officers are stuck in sleeping mode. The assigned task pops up next to their profile pic for a second and then proceeds to the pillow icon.
I submitted this with F11. Hopefully a fix can be made. I'm trying to help iron out theses bugs in the tutorial, so new players have a good intro into the game.

I got serious screen shaking when plane dropped depth charges. The entire screen was shaking up and down for ages and it was impossible to click on anything or any crew member in the sub. It stopped after a while only to start again when the aircraft had another depth charge blast on the stricken sub I was supposed to help.

That looks like a misunderstanding of how a tutorial is meant to be played.

A tutorial is a strictly scripted sequence of events designed to teach you a specific mechanic. It’s not intended to be played like you would in a normal game.

I understand the issue here is that people aren’t being told this directly, so they start doing things out of order, which messes up the script. This, in turn, causes an impossible loop where they can’t progress and end up stuck.

If the player follows the instructions exactly as given, when they’re given, they will get through the tutorial 100% of the time.

Quite so. It would also help if people read a bit here before writing away - the devs know the tutorials have developed a bug, it's the second post on this thread!!!

Meanwhile I am happily playing away, enjoying the realistic sinking, and trying to think of when I last actually saw a bug in the proper part of this game, let alone encountered anything that is allegedly game breaking.

At least some of the players here are submitting F11 bug reports - good for them!
