There could have been invasions on other islands where we would send our troops in, and see the damage we would cause on them.

We could actually have been able to control our brain dead units for ones, and form actual attack or defend strategies.

There could have been criminal organisations, rebel bases, smuggler outposts, and tribal villages hidden out in the jungle on our island, far from our cities that we would have to actually scout out.

We could also have had a navy and proper ships to control.
