We blocked a threat: Virus.Generic

This VN is setting off my antimalware/antivirus apparatus (Vipre Advanced Security). Something that downloads in the first 5MB of the installation is being identified as a virus, and thus the entire download keeps being nuked and starting over from scratch. Any ideas what it is that is being downloaded, why it's being identified as a virus and if it's safe to whitelist? Thanks....
