I paid extra for this game in EA and told all of my friends to do the same to support the devs. In return we all received a terrible mess of a game that is unmaintained and miles away from what was promised to begin with. Not only that, but the developers decided to attack their customers at every single turn on all forms of social media; Reddit, Twitter, Steam, etc. I still remember one of the steam sales last autumn where their community manager called one of the disgruntled customers an "absolute waste of space" and an "absolute mong" while their CEO tried, in panic, to stop him because the chat they thought was private was in truth being streamed to hundreds (thousands?) of people on the front page of Steam.

These people are in it for the money and do not care about their customers, especially not the hundreds of new potential players who have recently bought the game on Humble Bundle only to find out that no one is playing it. When people inform Bulkhead that they will not support them in the future because of how they are treating their game right now, the community manager (same person who called the customer a "mong" above) goes on a tirade on Twitter about how their swindled customers are the "Karen's [sic] of gaming," not realizing, of course, that he himself is the privileged person expecting people to complacently give him more money for a job poorly done:

The reasonable response to such criticism would be, of course, to maintain the game. (Don't ask me why he is talking about savants.)

So, while I would have loved for Battalion to pan out, I have learned my lesson and will stay away next time and tell my friends to do the same.

I dont think these devs deserve anyones chances any longer, gave them plenty of chances with battalion but they just didnt deliver and managed to alienate the core community who actually wanted a game like Battalion. Pro tip, if you want more players, dont alienate your existing community...

To be fair I really dont care what Bulkhead are doing for future titles, I couldn't care less.. If you are waiting for Bulkheads new stuff I wouldn't get your hopes up that the next title they produce is handled any better or made any better. Just take a look at Battalion.. I wouldn't trust these guys to develop anything.

Just my two cents. I'm staying away from Bulkhead games.

Hello. Moron whale here. I am above mentioned humbler bundled and grew excited. Being a fool first by nature I was sold. It had card drops for boosters on steam and it supports microtransactions. It had seasonal medals and rewards which required no additional purchase? Sign me up.

In 12 hours ive met 3 actual human players. All the skins are pretty lowball like bottom bar. I thought the killing floor market was stiff till this. Besides the dead atmosphere and no hope to profit....eh.

I take it a season 8 wont happen?

Oh I wish I had come here before buying the bundle. This game was the sole reason I did buy, since it is advertised as a DoD clone.

Check out Days of War if you haven't. It's closer to DoD. I don't know if the player base is there, though.
