you can't how? it never stops bucking, you can't tame it, nothing happens, can't mount it at all, etc, you gave us nothing....

so if you only care about finishing the quest, then cheat a little, forcefully tame it:
'setobjectivecompleted ccBGSSSE034_Misc_Horse05_RedBrown 10 1' or if that doesn't work 'setstage ccBGSSSE034_Misc_Horse05_RedBrown 10' or if THAT doesn't work 'completequest ccBGSSSE034_Misc_Horse05_RedBrown'

one of those will end the quest and make is so you can just walk up and hop on.

I can't click on the horse at all. I can't click on it, can't interact with it. Absolutely nothing. The horse might as well not even be there because it isn't interactable.

That second one worked! It updated the quest to having tamed the red horse. It was the last one and I might as well have been trying to tame a wall. The horse is unclickable. Nothing happens! Now I can do that for my other characters who have the red horse for last because it's a broken horse.

I tried that. I tried disable, enable, and even resurrect. I tried the moveto command to move myself to the horse and I even tried a command to move the horse to me (which I had to load because that just spawns a second broken red horse). It's weird that it only happens to this one horse. All the other wild horses tame like normal.

lol'd at spawned 2nd horse, you used baseID not refID I think. :-) is the 2nd horse clickable? you said "second broken horse" so I'm guessing not. 'resurrect' won't always work if you don't 'kill' it first, depends on how it's scripted. kill / disable / resurrect / enable should, though.

no, 'moveto' won't help you, that just brings it to you, if you want to try to mount from console, tag the horse and note it's refID, then 'player.mountactor <refID>' and see if that works, it should, but as for recognizing it's your tamed horse, ehhh... no, probably not, it's just performing the mount. (you can force NPCs to "steal" owned horses this way, and this is how mods that let followers ride horses operate). well it might not matter, since the 'setstage' command completed the quest already, and all.

yeah it's weird alright, it's most people's first horse to tame! maybe something happened with CC content, i know yesterday people were having nightmares getting content pulled down off bethesda servers, maybe try to re-fetch Wild Horses or all AE content? worth a shot, anyway. then again if nothing else seems messed up, so you don't get the red horse, go ride the unicorn naked instead. :-)

Accidentally spawning a second wild red horse did let me click on it. However the taming prompt didn't start. I could just ride it like normal. The quest didn't update and the guy at the stable didn't seem to recognize the horse when I tried to claim and rename (just renaming whatever other horse I already had.) I loaded before that to undo it since I didn't want to break anything further. It's so odd that it's only the red horse and none of the other ones.

It's a part of the Anniversary Edition. Wild Horses is Creation Club content that is a part of the AE build.
