i REALLY need help | Game stops responding after the Bethesda logo
My game SIMPLY stops responding. I tested it on multiple versions, and yes, I own the game on all of them—GOG, Steam, Xbox. I even tried formatting my computer, and NOTHING changed; it still behaves the same way. 0 mods, completely unmodified game.

I've tried changing the sound type to CD as some suggest, tested all Compatibility modes, Administrator mode, DPI settings, etc.

My setup:

i5 9600KF 3.70 GHz
RX 580 8GB
24GB DDR4 RAM
Windows 10 Pro (Updated, also tested on Windows 11 with no success)

just for fun, try this, go into offline mode, then disconnect from your network, either turn off wifi or release your IP if hardwired ethernet... there's a bug a few people get, we are not sure why some get it and some don't where this glitch happens, and considering everything you've tried...
No, it didn't work. I just tested it, and along with that, I tried changing all the game settings, launch options on Steam, I literally tried everything I could find on the internet.

I researched the game's dependencies, installed every possible required software, formatted my PC, rolled back to a previous GPU driver version, and reinstalled the game about five times.

Honestly, I just want to play the game peacefully, but the only thing happening is that I'm getting frustrated. I've tried every tutorial out there, and nothing works
Try cleaning up your drive as thoroughly as possible (using CCleaner or the like) for loose registries (I assume that you have checked the installed files and that the answser was that they were all validated). As a test , try to upload it on a different PC. If it works, the issue is likely to be on the Steam save and not in your PC setup. If all this fail, try loading the previous saves gong back in time. If your problem appeared sometime in the past, you most likely can figure out a save prior to your issue arising. Good luck my fellow player, I know how much this can be frusrating. If you solve your problem, let us know what the problem was and how you solved it.
Yes, I've already cleaned it with CCleaner and verified the game files about three times. I also did a full cleanup of Skyrim before reinstalling it, and when I launched it, same thing—nothing new.

I'm going to test it on another PC now and see if there's any hope. I'll wait for my brother to leave so I can install it on his PC just for testing.

I can't load any saves because I simply can't get past the menu. It's probably the Final Boss itself. when the game starts loading into the menu, it crashes.

Thanks for the attention, I'm trying everything to play Skyrim again. The last time I played was Legacy, and I'm doing everything I can to solve this.
Looks like I finally got it! The issue was a loose or dirty RAM stick. I cleaned the contacts and reinstalled the RAM, and now the game is running fine.

If anyone else is having similar problems, I recommend checking your RAM, it might save you a lot of trouble. Thanks to everyone who tried to help!

Nay, tried everything and still nothing, having the same issue and have done the same as you with tedious aggravation. WTAF??? It worked perfectly fine about two weeks ago, now it refuses to start up whether I have Mods installed or not.
