Riften Guard slaughter
I was playing around with modded Skyrim and when i entered Riften I saw the ENTIRETY of the Riften guard attacking Maul and maven while everyone ran away. I don't have CWO I think. This is really annoying and i don't want to keep avoiding Riften

Thats temporary and not a complete fix. Also there's ALOT of guards that are being killed.

Guards will respawn if you do not visit the city for ten days I think.

I have seen a unnamed theive npc in riften and also riverwood he can appear who is he sneaks around for the first seconds I think and then the guards will attack him he will get attack by the guards i have seen this happen in Riften and Riverwood but this is only 1 npc and I also think that townsfolk will also attack this thieve aswell this might be related to this issue.

This.

Either a mod you have installed is causing this or a mod you uninstalled that still has scripts running in your save is.

If the former just do a deep dive on your installed mods to see what might be causing it.

If the latter, live with it if thats the only bug, or as we all should do when deleting mods is start over on a brand new save.

and no we cant help you find the mod but we can help you narrow the type of mod from a list you post.

Well at least it's Maven.

She is a crime lord after all.

Maybe the guards have finally grown tired of her.

Sweetroll bribe from Maven lacked orange zest it seems. I would help the guards and play around with set essential setting here.

Unless you have a mod that removes essential tags from NPCs, the guards are just fighting a neverending battle, and you are basically free to do whatever you want in Riften.

I deleted a CWO folder. Ill try to go to Riften again
