I think you're supposed to chase it a broomstick. The red and blue team broomsticks have flight cost reduction and are fairly fast so I'd recommend them.
But honestly I tried it and still lost the bunny and it was taking forever.

damn this bunny is tough to get any other tips? the broom tactic doesnt work since the trees hide him when you try to chase!!!

Dont suppose trying ice beam to slow it down would help or better yet, tame a dragon and shoot fireballs at it.

well i think a tame would work if it can keep up with that evil bunny! its really fast, faster than most bunnies.so a dragon would not keep up with it.perhaps a phoenix might

Another suggestion would be to build around where the hare spawns, trapping him.

The rabbit spawns in a no building zone

Damn man I’m glad I found out because waiting 1 month stuck would be a pain xD

so is it in purpose that the hare is also immune to petrify? I think it's a little ridiculous that we're told to build a trap, when it's a fairly large no build area around it. I've only been playing the game 10 days now, and I really enjoy it, but the quest system needs some love, clarity, and a bit of a revamp.

I've beat this bunny before with the building thing, but now I'm on a server that won't let me build anywhere near it. I've managed to chase it quite a distance but I always lose it!

Darkbolt with, bleed and bonus damage with a high crit gear and an icbolt with the same buffs applied to it usually does the trick. At least for me.
You can also use rowan pudding (I think thats how that one is called) and use a monolith that boosts your speed by 40 points to get a total boost of 100 speed for a good amount of time. With haste its a bonus of 200 in total.
This could be enough to kill it.

after a while chasing him and doing tiny amounts of damage to him while chugging mana potions for my broom...

i got lucky and he ran in that cave he spawns outside of. he ran down the cave and got stuck on a wall for a bit and i nuke him with darkbolt.

that quest is especially toxic. not sure what the devs are thinking.

That's a build zone, crazy how the devolper is out of touch even when this was written when the game was still getting updates
Solved - spook him away from the first spawn point / no build zone follow him and use stealth to walk up and build a wall around him and thats it no more running for this bunny
