Wich one would be the better game and why?

I do level up leadership I get 30 charisma and then all in leadership. I'm also kinda a noob at the game. But it seems like the best thing to do? At least on hard difficulty you need a ton of troops, or at least I do lol. I tried going intelligence to focus on trainer then I had a small elite army but I still horribly failed at sieges. feels like i'm stuck in a rat race playing this game. i need some tips, feels like i'm doing something wrong. whenever i get a quest i can't seem to find where to go. even in the quest to get revenge on a runaway that killed someone and bring them to justice, when i'm in the town i circle and run around the town a bunch and can never find the guy. whenever i do a quest for a count, if the count is out in the field i go to the area where it says they were last seen and can still never find him. when i get a...

Basically, i don't want to send dry archers to their death to get new ones with full ammo ; is there a way to mod the game or tweak the code, so that attacking archers get automatic refills like the defendants do ?
