This game is terribly optimized and has huge frame dips and stutters even on the newest high-end graphics cards. That's completely unacceptable for a 2.5D game that doesn't even let you deviate from a horizontal track. The lack of response from the devs over the past several years would seem to indicate that fixes are dead and this game will perpetually perform this badly.

In terms of gameplay, it's a walk-right simulator with very bare-bones puzzle solving. The puzzles never get much more interesting or elaborate as you progress, even in the final stage. They're limited to pushing rocks to make jumping platforms or changing the time of day to get plants/platforms to move. These puzzles are the absolute minimum for what can even constitute gameplay.

The day/night system had the potential to be interesting, but since it doesn't have predictable outcomes and just produces more-or-less binary results, it's a fancy version of pulling a lever. Most of its potential was wasted.

Finally, there's the story. Or more accurately, the lack of it. This game follows the obnoxious hipster indie dev trope of being "too cool to tell you a proper story, so you figure it out." Literally one of my least favorite aspects of the current indie scene. In games like Limbo, Little Nightmares, or Inside, this is annoying but still interesting since the real-world settings keep the events grounded enough and well contextualized for you to figure out what the intent was and possibly relate to it. In this game, on an alien planet we know nothing about and with multiple different alien species we know nothing about, there is no story hook at all. Nothing is compelling, nothing is particularly fascinating, and the end is more of a letdown than some profound moment I imagine the devs thought it would be.

Overall, this game has a great concept but was poorly executed and terribly optimized. It's hard to recommend even to people who love the walk-right puzzle platform games it's similar to. If you're looking for a game like this, I'd recommend Another World. It's an older game and is much less pretty, but it nails the "alone on an alien world" theme better and has puzzles that are actually engaging.

It is amazing, one of the best platform games I've ever played. I thought I would miss not shooting anything, I didn't. Graphics, music, gameplay, puzzles, I loved it all. I hope there is a sequel.

I don't have the Steam version (people post there are bugs), but I picked it up for free on Amazon Games (NO BUGS!). I played all the way through half with keyboard, half with controller.

I HATE the ending and also that you don't know why you are on the planet, how you got there, or what the goal is to make it through. a 10 second set up would have been great. I would have loved it more if you come out of a crashed space ship, looking for a way home or a peaceful civilization. So just enjoy all that the game has to offer between the beginning and end!

Some areas are a bit tough, but it is all about timing. After about 30 attempts in one area, I finally broke down and watched a youtube video to see the timing of the jumps.
