Mini Thief is an arcade style stealth game where you rob various locations, and try to not get caught by guards/homeowners - in a fast paced randomly generated, experience.

Horrible - Bad - Decent - Good - Amazing

Most achievements are pretty straightforward, the exceptions being some collectibles (spread across random levels), barely escaping, and getting every safe. The latter by far being the hardest as there's no way to track it.

Honestly I'm disappointed to say I wouldn't recommend this. The concept is generally very fun and definitely could've been a great little game (if it were balanced better).

First of all the story isn't anything interesting. I'll just be blunt about that. It's basically just various excuses of why the thief is stealing so much stuff (with barely any depth so why is it called a story mode...?) - these are given in various cutscenes prior to playing the level, and they generally slow down the pace of what is supposed to be a fast paced game.

Second of all there's the fact you lose all items upon death (assuming you don't have insurance which is 850 bucks or so...) - which merely aims to slow the gameplay down, rather than add high stakes to it. Being 1 shot by any enemy NPC makes it so that you'll oftentimes lose thousands worth of gear, because of a simple mistake. It just makes me grind medium house 2 more and doesn't add anything of value to the experience...

Third of all - and definitely worst, the enemy NPC ai... Enemies are able to 1 shot you (which is an obvious issue considering the former statement) - but they also have superhuman speed, aggression, xray vision, and godlike hearing. This becomes especially evident in Jewlery store 1-3 where it is impossible to avoid NPCs. These guards will hunt you down from halfway across the map, see you through doors (somehow?) and won't let you get out of their aggro until you're dead. This honestly ruined my entire perspective on the game as I was originally planning to complete it, but these NPCs are more rng than fun to play against...
